December 11th--one month old!
Not his best shot, but I wanted you to see him with his eyes open :)
I can't believe it has been a month since Asher was born. You can see in the pics how much he changed already. We can't imagine life without him.
We have had a good week. Our cloth diapers arrived, so we have been playing around with those. Asher is still pretty little, so they look huge, but we finally found a way to make them work until he grows into them a bit more. They are one size diapers--so he will have them until he is potty trained. I think I will experiment with a few other types that friends have used too, but I think the Tiny Tush diapers are working well--and they wash really nicely. Asher has learned how fun it is to pee all over when we take his diaper off--I thought we were going to be lucky enough to not have him do that, but boys will be boys! The first time was all over Kevin and was pretty entertaining (or so I thought--until it was my turn!)
Asher is still sleeping a lot, but also awake more and more. He gazes at us and his surroundings for quite a while....I wish we knew what went on in the mind of babes.
I feel very blessed that my work is being so gracious with my time off. I will work a little during winter break while Kev is home, and then take January off. In February I will work some at home and some in the office. Emily and some other friends in town will help take care of him while I work until Kevin takes time off from April until the end of the school year. I feel really lucky that we won't have to worry about outside care until September. Man, we planned this pregnancy well, huh?!
Kevin just got home, so I am hitting the shower. After dinner tonight we are planning a fun trip to Barnes and Noble:)
