Great Weekend!

Despite the vicious cold that I acquired last week, we had a great weekend with my mom in town. It was, of course, too short, but we got a lot done! On Saturday Emily threw me a beautiful, eco-friendly shower! We had a great time and Thor got spoiled with eco-friendly toys, diapers, books--even organic bottom spray and balm! I tell ya, this little guy is very loved.

There was a lot of pressure to reveal the name, but I didn't give in! You are all going to have to wait until the little guy arrives ;) I haven't even told my mom yet--and that was a huge feat, given that Kevin and I call him his real name all the time!

Saturday night I developed a bad cough and didn't get much sleep so Kevin and my mom hung out most of the day Sunday. I HATED being in bed, but just needed sleep. They re-finished the changing table that Kevin had when he was a baby. It turned out great and matches the room now. My mom also covered cushions for the rocking chair...we are well on our way to finishing the room. I will post pics when it is done.

I am feeling a bit better, but still under the weather--hard when you can't take anything!

Thanks to all my wonderful friends at the shower this weekend (and those who couldn't be there too...). I feel so fortunate to know you ladies--two years ago we didn't know anybody and now I feel like we have really made a home here! Thor is lucky to have so many Aunties in town to love on him! And his Auntie Emily is so special and did so much to make us feel special too ;)
